PLAY DAYz is a 1-week theater camp designed to teach students the FUN-damentals of acting.   Students will spend their DAYz rehearsing scenes in a fun, safe and nurturing environment.  Through the rehearsal process, they will learn stage presence, character development, storytelling and improvisation.  The camp will conclude with students performing their scenes for a live audience. 

Amber Ryan

Director

Amber Ryan developed a love for the performing arts at an early age and believes magic happens in the theater.  As an actor, Amber has worked on Theater, TV, Film, Industrial and both local and national Commercial projects. 

For the past 10 years Amber has worked with kids ages 3-18 developing and teaching acting techniques.   She has also directed several youth theater productions.  Her directing credits include:  Hairspray JrGuys and Dolls Jr, The Wizard of Oz, The Grant Project, Big Bad and Teen Angel to name a few. 

“Working with young actors is a true passion,” says Amber.  “I love seeing them grow in their acting techniques, but more importantly, I love seeing them grow in their self-confidence.  They are building qualities that will benefit them in every aspect of their lives!  That is where the true magic happens.”
